Pre Sales Engineer

What we are looking for

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Pre-Sales Engineer (3-5 years experienced) to join our growing team. This unique role bridges the gap between sales and engineering, requiring both deep technical expertise and strong communication skills. You will play a critical role in identifying customer needs, architecting secure cloud solutions, and driving successful sales cycles.

We have two exciting opportunities available:

  • Federal: This position requires a Top-Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) and focuses on supporting our government clients. (Clearance a Plus)
  • Commercial: This position caters to our commercial clientele and does not require a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security offerings.
    • Understanding and articulating the benefits and limitations of various cloud solutions.
    • Identifying customer pain points and architecting secure, scalable cloud solutions.
    • Staying current on the latest cloud security trends and best practices (Zero Trust, IAM, etc.).
  • Sales Enablement:
    • Collaborating with sales representatives to develop compelling technical presentations and proposals.
    • Conducting demos and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to showcase the value proposition of our solutions.
    • Engaging with technical decision-makers and addressing their concerns.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Possessing excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
    • Working collaboratively with internal teams (sales, engineering, marketing) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Desired Skills
  • Proven experience as a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer or similar role (3+ years)
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.) for the relevant position (Federal or Commercial)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
