AMRITA VISHWA VIDYAPEETHAM ORGANIZES 1ST EVER INNOVATION INCUBATOR HACKATHON 2022

The one-week Artificial Intelligence Hackathon was organized in partnership with Innovation Incubator group of companies, headquartered at New York USA
Students participated in the hackathon to solve real AI problems in Healthcare, Real estate, Agriculture, Fashion, and Automotive sectors.

Bengaluru, May 12 2022: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in partnership with Innovation Incubator, recently organized first ever Artificial Intelligence Hackathon in its Bengaluru campus from more than 14 teams comprising of 60 students in the Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Engineering, M.Tech. and MBA.

The one-week Artificial Intelligence Hackathon was won by Team Geekolution, led by Anwar Nadaf, Bhushan Jawre, Sushmitha R, E.Vaan Amuthu and Vishvesh Pathak. The team focused on healthcare doctor note summarization. The team was given with a dataset of patient notes generated by various doctors and the notes need to be converted into proper patient summary files according to the format specified by the client. The team developed the solution using advanced AI and ML techniques and the judging team appreciated their effort for optimizing the solution.

Students participated in the hackathon to solve real AI problems in Healthcare, Real estate, Agriculture, Fashion, and Automotive sectors. They were guided by Innovation Incubator AI, tech and industry experts during the hackathon. Innovation Incubator group of companies, headquartered at New York USA with employees in various states of USA and India, offers the AI entrepreneurs launch pad.

Dr. Sriram Devanathan, Principal of Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru expressed “A common lament of current times is the industry-academic gap.
